Towards the legal validity of the Diocesan Inquiry

On 27 February 2010, the Postulator of the Cause Ildefonso Moriones OCD asked the Congregation for Causes of Saints to declare the “legal validity of the Diocesan Inquiry” without delay, so that the “Positio super Virtutibus” for the Servant of God José María Arizmendiarrieta could be prepared.
In the meantime, Fr Romualdo Rodrigo OAR, who is the postulating advocate and who has been living in Madrid for the last few months, is currently drawing up a systematised version of the Diocesan Inquiry sent to the Vatican on 19 April 2009. The task involves compiling his Biography, Virtues and Sanctity of Life, which are basically taken from the content of this Inquiry.
Both the Diocesan Inquiry’s “decree of validity” and the drawing up of the “Positio super Virtutibus” (the Positio) are expected to be completed in around twelve months’ time.
